Lighting kills ward chair in Rolpa



ROLPA: A ward chair has died from a lightning strike in Rolpa district.

Dil Bahadur Ghartimagar, 49, the ward chair of Sunchhari Rural Municipality-3 in the district, died after being struck by lightning on Thursday night.

The deceased had been sleeping in the house of his younger brother when the incident occurred, said Prakash Bhusal, information officer for the ward office.

Meanwhile, five persons were injured after being struck by lightning in two separate places in Parbat district on Thursday night.
