Communications Ministry directs box office to resolve advance ticket booking related problems

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has directed the box office to resolve problems in advance ticket booking for domestic and foreign movies.

Stating that problems have surfaced in advance ticket booking due to rules for film censor imposed by the Film Development Board, the Ministry has directed the box office to not cause a delay in examining films for screening.

It has also directed the box office to provide movie codes for advance ticket booking in case of a delay in examining films for screening.

Following this, the theatre operators can open advance ticket booking after taking move codes before the censor. Former Chairperson of the Nepal Film Association, Pradip Kumar Udaya thanked the government for addressing their demands in making arrangements for opening advance ticket booking before the movie examination.
