Tragic bus-truck collision in Bara claims three lives, leaves 27 injured



KATHMANDU: In a devastating incident earlier this morning, three individuals lost their lives, and 27 others sustained injuries when a bus and a truck collided at Bara.

The accident occurred at 2 AM at Amlekhgunj in Bara district, involving a bus (Ba 3-001 Kha 2587) traveling from Kakadbitta to Kathmandu and a truck (Na 7 Kha 7300) on its way from Hetauda to Pathaliya.

The police have identified the deceased as Purna Gurung, 28, from Tanahu, the truck driver, and Hari Shumsher, 40, the bus driver from Hetauda. The identity of the third fatality is yet to be determined. Unfortunately, they succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment.

Among the 27 injured, seven individuals are reported to be in critical condition, while the remaining 20 are in stable condition, as confirmed by the police.
