Light snowfall likely in high hilly and mountainous regions

KATHMANDU: The Westerly wind has its partial impact in the country at present.

The weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly region of the country and generally fair in the rest of the regions, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini said that it will be partly cloudy in the hilly region of the country, including in Gandaki province, in the afternoon today while remaining generally fair in the rest of the regions.

According to him, there is possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces today.

The air temperature in Kahmandu is 17 degrees Celsius and visibility is more than six kilometres at present, the Division stated.

Meteorologist Pudasaini said the weather will be partly cloudy and the maximum temperature will be between 22 to 24 degrees Celsius in Kathmandu today.

Similarly, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and generally fair in the rest of the country tonight.

There are chances of light snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
