KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has convened a meeting today to address pressing issues related to economic reform.
The session, scheduled for today afternoon at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, aims to discuss the commitments made by the government in the past, their implementation status, and the challenges encountered.
Prime Minister’s Press Adviser Gobinda Acharya shared that representatives from key entities such as the Ministry of Finance, National Planning Commission, Nepal Rastra Bank, and other government agencies will participate in the deliberations.
Among the agenda items are the examination of the current economic state, steps to be taken for improvement, and an assessment of the demands from the private sector.
The meeting will also address challenges arising from the fulfillment of these demands and potential issues stemming from a lack of coordination between various government agencies.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Dahal has expressed his intention to engage in discussions with representatives from the private sector, political parties, experts, and stakeholders.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to making ‘bold’ decisions aimed at revitalizing the economy.
The meeting. Baluwatar sources said, will also underscore a comprehensive effort to evaluate past commitments, identify areas for improvement, and foster collaboration between the public and private sectors for the economic well-being of the nation.
