Rupak Sapkota appointed as Foreign Affairs Adviser to PM Dahal

Rupak Sapkota has been appointed as Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s foreign affairs advisor. Prime Minister’s Press Adviser Govinda Acharya said that a meeting of the cabinet held on Thursday appointed Sapkota as PM Dahal’s Foreign Affairs Advisor.

Gold price sets new record today

Gold price increased by Rs 1,800 per tola today compared to the previous trading day. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 115,500 per tola and standard gold is traded at Rs 114,950 per tola. The precious yellow metal was valued at Rs. 113,700 per tola, and standard gold at Rs. 113,150 per tola on Thursday.

Clear skies predicted for Dashain

The Weather Forecasting Division has said that the weather is expected to be generally clear during this year’s Dashain festival. According to Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane, the weather forecast indicates clear skies during the celebration of Dashain festival.

Badri KC triumphs as NRNA President

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has announced the election of Dr. Badri KC (Russia) as its newly appointed President following an intense voting process conducted on Thursday. In a closely watched contest featuring four formidable candidates vying for the  position of NRNA President, Dr. Badri KC emerged victorious with a total of 1,378 votes. His opponents, Rajendra Kumar Sharma -RK (Qatar), secured 1,281 votes, Mahesh Kumar Shrestha (Japan) garnered 1,225 votes, while Ravina Thapa (USA) received 47 votes in the election.
