TIKAPUR: Tikapur Municipality of Kailali district has distributed foodstuff to the people suffering from tuberculosis.
A dozen of such people were provided rice, lentil, sugar, eggs and other things considering the nutrition they need for health.
The food stuffs are distributed in the wake of Dashain festival.
Coordinator at public health promotion section at the municipality, Bal Bahadur Rawal, informed that the local level had planned to distribute food grains and other daily essentials to as many as 102 tuberculosis patients.
The local level has been conducting various programmes to free the municipality of tuberculosis.
The municipality had recorded 176 tuberculosis sufferers last year. Similarly, the poor and sick ones are provided food grains and daily essentials by the municipality.
Last year, 102 such persons were distributed the food stuffs, Rawal added.
Moreover, the tuberculosis patients are provided skill oriented trainings and public health awareness.
