DAMAULI: Aanbukhairani Rural Municipality in Tanahun district has distributed social security allowances to senior citizens at their doorsteps.
Targeting the Dashain festival, the rural municipality provided the social security allowance of the first quarter of the current fiscal year to the senior citizens by visiting them at their homes, chief administrative officer of the rural municipality Bishnu Prasad Sharma said.
“We distributed the social security allowance to the disabled ones by visiting their doorsteps while other beneficiaries were given from a nearby location. The beneficiaries are elated after getting the social security allowance ahead of Dashain festival,” he added.
Municipality Chairman of Aanbukhairani Rural Municipality Shukra Chuman said that he was working to provide accessible and prompt service to the locals and added that the move to distribute the social security allowance at the locals’ doorsteps has ended several hassles.
“I have given a continuity to my commitments that I made during the election campaigns,” he shared stating that distribution of the social security allowance at the locals’ doorsteps was a key priority for him.
