RSP Chair Lamichhane defends party’s unique approach amid criticism

THAWANG, ROLPA: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, has responded to criticism made against his party by highlighting the party’s unique characteristics.

Lamichhane, during a Facebook Live session in Thawang, Rolpa, revealed that the RSP employs a primary election system to select leaders, setting it apart from other parties; the party is expanding at the ward level and will initiate conventions in November, incorporating primary elections at all levels.

Furthermore, the RSP strictly opposes nepotism, contrasting with parties where family members often hold prominent positions, the RSP Chairman added.

Lamichhane also clarified that his party has no intention of forming fraternal organizations, emphasizing that the party comprises members, not workers. This approach aims to foster transparency and accessibility while discouraging the use of contract workers, a common practice in other parties.
