Govt. working to transform people’s livelihood: PM Dahal



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the government is on a massive transformation drive to shift people’s livelihood through the implementation of the Constitution.

In a message today on the occasion of the Constitution Day, 2080 BS, the PM said that the government has started a campaign to transform the federal democratic republic as the true state provision.

PM Prachanda has also said that the government is working to widen the route of good-governance, prosperity and social justice adding that implementation of the existing laws and drafting of the new laws needed for the constitution’s implementation would give a sense of political changes in the country.

“The government’s priority is to begin the great campaign of nation building based on social justice, good-governance and prosperity by strengthening the democratic republic, institutionalizing the political achievements made so far,” according to the PM.

The PM has stated that new constitution was promulgated through the Constituent Assembly as a joint effort of 10-year-long people’s war, people’s movement of 2006 and other political uprising waged for the cause of political transformation.

PM Prachanda has also viewed that the new constitution has not only ensured the civil and political rights but also the economic, social and cultural rights.

In his message, the PM has expressed his high regards to those forced disappearance people, injured ones and other warriors and has expressed his gratitude to all participating in the people’s war, historical people’s movement, Madhesh movement and the struggles of indigenous communities as well.
