Govt committed to national unity and substantive changes in the country: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed the determination to work to protect national unity and bring the required changes to the country.

Inaugurating the ‘Half Marathon’ organized by Kantipur Media House in the capital here this morning, he said the current government is determined to ensure that the people can be served, good governance can be provided and development can be provided through change.

Govt to regulate Nepali advertisement thru internet

The government is to regulate Nepali advertisement as well as other transaction through the Internet and bring it under the tax system.

Services would be provided by maintaining the interoperability of online systems operated by government agencies, according to the policies and programs unveiled by the government.

Online services would be provided by ward-level offices and a data exchange platform would be created for exchanging data among different digital systems.

Nominations for “Mero Gaon Mero Thaau” video challenge announced

As many as 70 documentaries have been nominated in 10 different categories for the “Mero Gaon, Mero Thaau” (My Village, My Place) video challenge 2023.

70 documentaries have been nominated out of a total of 258 submitted from all over the country.

The “We Will Rise Foundation” has been organizing a nationwide documentary competition “Mero Gaon, Mero Thaau” focusing on any significant natural, and cultural heritage, costumes, caste identity, cuisine, art culture, among others, which have been overshadowed by the tourism point of view.

Nepal sees 14 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours, active cases 80

Nepal recorded a total of 14 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Out of the confirmed cases, four were detected through the RT-PCR method and 10 through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 793 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Govt made significant achievements in every sectors: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said significant achievements have been made in all sectors including education and health following the adaptation of the federal democratic republic.

Republic is qualitatively progressive in every aspect than autocracy and monarchy, he said while addressing installation and the swearing-in program to the newly elected executive committee of the All Nepal Federation of Trade Unions here today.

Labors and grassroots level have been prioritized in the government’s policies and programs presented in the parliament on Friday, he said.
