UML decides not to give vote of confidence to PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) has decided not to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

The UML’s parliamentary party meeting held today at the New Baneshwor-based Federal Parliament Building took a decision on this effect, according to party whip Mahesh Bartaula.

As he said, the party’s understanding is that the incumbent government failed to create a reliable base for stability, development and prosperity and it doesn’t deserve the vote of confidence.

The party is determined to play an effective, creative and constructive role as the opposition in the parliament, making the House more accountable to the people and contributing to the further consolidation of democratic norms and values, according to him.
