National consensus need of the hour: PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reiterated his stance on national consensus.

Seeking a vote of confidence for the second time in the House of Representatives on Monday, PM Dahal asked, “Isn’t it high time all political forces came together to address the country’s problems?”

“I have said this before, and I would like to reiterate it today that both the nation’s crisis and prospects demand a national consensus,” PM Dahal said.

PM Dahal said all political parties need to stand together at this hour.

“I have not seen an alternative to national consensus even in the basic issues of the nation including nationality, national security, foreign relations, major economic issues and strategic infrastructure,” he added.

“I see consensus as essential to bring the peace process to its logical conclusion,” he claimed.
