Maoist Center entrusts Chairman Prachanda with the responsibility to decide on President



KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center has entrusted party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda to make the final decision about the President.

A meeting of the party’s office bearers held today gave the responsibility of making the final decision on the presidential election to Prachanda.

Party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara said Prachanda has been entrusted with making the final decision at the meeting held at the party office in Parisdanda on Monday.

The party has also decided to seek national consensus to elect the country’s President.

Mahara said that the Maoist Center’s major objective is to safeguard the republic, and Constitution and take the peace process to a logical conclusion.
