KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the political powers that stood together during the 12-point agreement, detailed peace agreement and constitution making should stand together again in the presidential and vice-presidential elections.

Addressing the sixth plenary meeting of CPN-Maoist Center in Pokhara on Monday afternoon,  the Prime Minister remarked that the country needs a national consensus again to take the tasks of the implementation of the Constitution and institutionalization of federal democracy in the country.

“The country is in a difficult situation politically and economically. There is a foul air in politics; the economy is in a difficult place. At the time of the 12-point agreement, comprehensive peace agreement and constitution making, the various political powers stood together. Again, those forces need to stand together. The country’s problems should be solved through national consensus,” he said.
