KATHMANDU: India’s intellectual and Nepal expert, SD Muni has suggested four names for the post of the President.

Stating that Nepal’s demand for a consensual new President sounds valid, he tweeted on Tuesday, “Non-partisan persons of impeccable integrity and political sensitivity like Devendra Raj Pandey, Prof Baral (Lokraj), Daman Dhungana, and Anuradha Koirala deserve to be considered by the political class.”

Muni’s suggestion comes at a time when Nepal’s political parties have intensified discussions to select candidate for the presidential election.

Muni’s tweet concurs the stance of Maoist Center’s Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, who is also the Prime Minister, who has insisting that there should be a national consensus on the presidential candidate.
