Ruling coalition is in crisis, says former PM Nepal



KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister (PM) and Chairman of the Unified Socialist Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the current ruling coalition can collapse at any time.

Speaking at a program in Kirtipur, former PM Nepal said that the ruling coalition can collapse at any time because of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

He claimed that the coalition is in crisis after the RSP has been reiterating its demand of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Nepal further claimed that the country will take a new political course after the election of the President.

“Interestingly, the current ruling coalition comprises of political forces which are poles apart in political ideologies, including a champion of republicanism and the other a pro-monarch party,” he said.
