Communist forces should move united: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reiterated on the need to make a single center comprising genuine communist parties of Nepal. Speaking to Nepal Communist Party (Bahumat) leader Dharmendra Bastola at the Prime Minister’s office in Singha Durbar on Friday, the Prime Minister stressed on the need to unite all political parties following genuine communist ideology.

RSP’s Magar registers nomination for HoR Deputy Speaker

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has fielded Indira Rana Magar as its candidate for Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR). Indira Rana Magar, RSP parliamentarian, registered her candidacy for the Deputy Speaker on behalf of the ruling coalition. She registered her candidacy at the Federal Parliament Secretariat on Friday afternoon.

Speaker Ghimire takes oath before President

Newly-elected Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Devraj Ghimire, took an oath of office and secrecy before President Bidya Devi Bhandari amidst a ceremony at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, Friday.

Khumbu receives tourists even in off-season

The Khumbu area in Solukhumbu district has received a good number of tourists even during this time of off-season. The winter period is considered as an off-season for tourism in the Khumbu area. In the past three days, a total of 95 tourists visit the Khumbu region, according to a report of the Sagarmatha National Park.

Snowfall affects life in Humla

Speaker announces his dissociation with party

Speaker Devraj Ghimire has announced his dissociation with all responsibilities related to the CPN (UML). Issuing a press release today, the newly-elected Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Ghimire said that he has removed himself of all responsibilities of the party for carrying out works independently and fairly.
