Bajura receives snowfall

BAJURA: Bajura district has received a snowfall from Thursday.

The district has received rain coupled with strong wind due to an impact of westerly low pressure system.

Most of the northeast parts of the district have witnessed the snowfall in Bajura.

It is said that snowfall is taking place at Badimalika, Budhinanda and other local levels in the district’s northeast area.

With the rain and snowfall, the temperature here has plunged up to 2 degree Celsius, affecting the normal life of the folks.

However, the farmers are elated with the rainfall, hoping that the rain could ensure better yield of the winter crops.

Likewise, vehicular movement along the Martadi-Kolti is affected as the snow at the Porkhe lekh (hill) created obstructions.
