Snowfall affects life in Humla



HUMLA: Humla district has witnessed a snowfall from last night, the first of its kind in this winter.

In the previous years, the district used to receive snowfall from December.

The locals in the district headquarters of Simkot have been enjoying the snowfall that occurred after a long gap.

However, with the heavy snowfall here, the normal life has been affected in the northern belt of the district.

Local residents said that normal life at Limi village in Namkha Rural Municipality-6 is affected with the heavy snowfall.

The villages including Limi, Muchu, Khagalgaun, Til and Jang have received the heavy snowfall, affecting the normal life and locals’ mobility there.

In the meantime, the farmers are hopeful of good production of millet, buckwheat and other winter crops.
