KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda announced his commitment to intensify the anti-corruption campaign, vowing to make it even more formidable.

Addressing concerns related to Ncell’s share purchase and sale, PM Dahal emphasized that the government is resolute in its pursuit of prosperity, encapsulated by a streamlined one-form slogan.

Acknowledging the succession of scandals, Dahal differentiated their nature, citing instances such as Lalita Niwas and issues concerning Bhutanese refugees.

In a response to queries from the Federal Parliament’s Good Governance Committee, he highlighted the government’s proactive stance in addressing corruption, unearthing and rectifying discrepancies.

Responding to criticisms about various scandals unfolding under the current administration, Dahal urged citizens not to generalize and vilify the government entirely.

He emphasized his personal commitment to combating corruption and urged public support, asserting, “If everything is said the same, who will come and build the country? If I do not carry out this campaign, no one else will come and do it.”

The Prime Minister underscored the importance of collective efforts in the fight against corruption, discouraging a cynical view that undermines the nation-building process.
