Govt. fails to conclude investigations into corruption cases: Rabi Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has criticized the government for its failure to initiate and conclude investigations into corruption cases.

Lamichhane expressed his concerns at a program held in Kathmandu on Thursday, emphasizing the government’s inability to make substantial progress in addressing corruption.

He highlighted an instance where he attempted to delve into a corruption case, only to find himself confronted with his own reflection, symbolic of the government’s reluctance to confront the issue head-on.

Lamichhane vowed that following the upcoming elections, he would meticulously scrutinize each page of the corruption file, ensuring swift and impartial actions, irrespective of anyone’s influence or status.

He also emphasized the RSP’s status as the sole opposition party practically challenging the current government, particularly with the grand coalition formation in Koshi province.

Furthermore, Lamichhane dared others to validate allegations suggesting foreign interference in RSP’s operations, reiterating the party’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and concerns of the Nepalese people.

He reiterated the party’s dedication to upholding the interests of the nation without compromising on its principles, echoing its commitment to serving the people of Nepal.
