Lightning strike claims life of teen in Dailekh, eight injured



DAILEKH: An incident unfolded in Dailekh as a 16-year-old boy lost his life to a lightning strike, while eight others suffered injuries.

The victim, identified as Kishor Dahal and a resident of Mahabu Rural Municipality-3, met a tragic end due to a lightning strike that occurred last evening.

According to Deepak Bista, the Police Inspector of District Police Office in Dailekh, the incident transpired when lightning struck at Ekle Sallo in Mahabusthan.

Kishore Dahal was returning from the local Mahadev temple with other people in a group after partaking in the Teej celebration when the lightning struck him, leading to his untimely demise.

Eight other individuals who were accompanying him also sustained injuries in the same incident, as confirmed by the police.

The teenager succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Dailekh District Hospital.
