Bharatpur Hospital declares 400 beds free

BHARATPUR: The Bharatpur Hospital has made 400 general beds in the Outpatient Department (OPD) service free.

As per the directive of the Ministry of Health and Population, the hospital has made available free bed services from August 18 (Friday) onward.

The spokesperson of the hospital, senior physician Dr Govinda Kandel stated that the hospital has started providing beds freely.

He shared that the minimum service charge however has been kept as it was for critical care (ICU, CCU, PICU and NICU), post-operative ward, cabin, HDU, spine, cardiac, neurosurgery and orthopedic ward.

The hospital now has 600 beds. The OPD service tickets are also free in the hospital.

Patients from across the country turn up to receive treatment at Bharatpur hospital.

Information Officer Gopal Poudel shared that daily 1,500 to 2,000 patients are visiting the hospital for treatment of late.
