1,275 cases registered at Kathmandu police in a month



KATHMANDU: As many as 1,275 cases have been registered in the country’s federal capital, Kathmandu, in a month.

The District Police Range Kathmandu informed that a total of 1,275 cases were registered during a month from mid-July to mid-August in different incidents.

Spokesperson of the District Police Range, SP Kumod Dhungel said the number of criminal incidents has increased in the month of Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) this year than in the same month last year.

The highest number of cases registered were of banking offenses, police said.

A total of 560 banking offense-related cases were registered in the month this year.
