NA chopper rescues 12 trapped in landslide



PANCHTHAR: Twelve people trapped in a landslide in Yangbarek-1, Fedi have been rescued by Nepal Army’s helicopter on Monday.

According to District Police Office Panchthar, Narmaya Gurung, Sandeep Gurung, Hima Gurung, Krishna Bahadur Gurung, Dick Maya Gurung, Kajuhang Gurung, and Sunita Gurung were rescued by helicopter.

Similarly, Man Bahadur Gurung, Man Kumari Gurung, Susma Gurung, Padam Bahadur Khaling, Man Maya Khaling were also rescued. They belong to three families.

The NA chopper airlifted them and brought them to Changthapu.

Due to the incessant rain since Saturday, the Fedi village has become vulnerable to landslides.
