KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has witnessed a double-digit growth of 15.13 on the fourth trading day of the week.
The market closed at 1920.12 points.
With the increase in all sub-indices except mutual funds, NEPSE witnessed the rise.
While the development bank sub-index showed the highest increase of 1.27 percent, the trade and finance sub-index also increased by more than 1 percent.
Despite the increase in NEPSE, the transaction amount did not increase. On Wednesday, 2,579,325 shares of listed securities were bought and sold in 23,503 transactions, amounting to the transaction worth Rs 872.1 million.
Swavalamban Microfinance’s founder’s share was traded at Rs 88.3 million, Nabil Bank’s Rs 36.66 million, and NIC Asia Bank’s Rs 31.9 million.
A total of 220 companies’ shares were traded in NEPSE on Wednesday, and the share prices of 167 companies increased. Similarly, while the share price of 41 companies declined, 12 companies remained stable.
The share price of Kalinchok Darshan Limited and Molung Khola Hydropower Company increased by 9.99 percent and closed with a positive circuit while the share price of Gurans Microfinance increased by 8.59 percent.
The share price of Adarsh Microfinance decreased by 10 percent and closed in the negative circuit price.
Similarly, the share price of Taragaon Regency Hotel also decreased by 2.91 percent.
