KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has expressed confidence in getting the support of Maoist Center’s support for UML’s presidential candidate.

Dismissing reports that the Maoist Center will not support UML’s candidate, Oli said, “Let me make you clear that the Maoist Center will support the UML candidate.”

Speaking to journalists at the Biratnagar Airport on Sunday, Oli said that there has already been an agreement with the Maoists on the issue.

“Do not even imagine that the Maoists will not support UML’s presidential election,” Oli quipped, adding,g “Everything has been fixed.”

In response to a query regarding the statements of some Maoist leaders, UML Chairman Oli said, “In fact, let me reiterate to you that everything has been finalized.”

Reacting to the message given by former King Gyanendra Shah on the occasion of Democracy Day, UML Chairman Oli said such proposals have no substantial meaning.

“He (Shah) himself is confused,” he said.
