BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to solidify its position in Koshi Province by giving a vote of confidence to Chief Minister Kedar Karki.
The party has also decided to position itself on the ruling bench, indicating a potential shift in the power dynamics of the province.
According to lawmaker Uddhav Thapa, the Nepali Congress Koshi State Parliamentary Committee has formally pledged its support to Chief Minister Karki, signaling the party’s active involvement in the affairs of the ruling government.
Amidst these developments, Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has expressed his party’s commitment to backing MP Kedar Karki, who secured the position of Chief Minister with the support of 8 Congress MPs.
In the wake of these political maneuvers, Karki is slated to seek a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly meeting, which is scheduled to convene shortly.
