KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently under the influence of western winds, the Weather Forecasting Division has said.
According to the Division, the weather is generally clear in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
However, light rain has been recorded in a couple of spots in Lumbini Province.
For the afternoon, the forecast suggests clear weather in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country might experience partly cloudy conditions.
There’s a possibility of scattered light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in certain hilly areas.
Additionally, there’s a chance of light snowfall in select locations within the high hills and mountainous areas.
During the night, the weather is expected to range from partly cloudy to clear in the hilly areas, whereas the rest of the country is likely to experience partly cloudy to clear conditions.
Some isolated areas in the hilly regions might experience light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
The Division has advised people to take necessary precautions to minimize the impact on public health, agriculture, daily life, road transportation, and air traffic due to rain, snowfall, and the potential risks associated with lightning.
