Prohibitory orders  in Biratnagar on Sunday



BIRATNAGAR: District Administration Office (DAO) Morang has issued prohibitory orders in some places of Biratnagar Metropolitan City for Sunday.

Considering the possibility of the possible violence in the demonstration called against the naming of Koshi Province by the proponents of ethnic and cultural identity, the DAO issued prohibitory orders.

Various groups have called mass demonstration on Sunday against the naming of the province.

Morang’s Chief District Officer (CDO) Tirtharaj Bhattarai informed that no assembly, procession, gathering, rally, sit-in, etc. will be allowed in the prohibited areas from 6 am on Chait 5 until further orders.

According to CDO Bhattarai, the prohibited places include the areas from Devkota Chowk in the east of the Province Assembly to the west of Koshi Hospital, Chief Minister and Council of Ministers Office from Rodshesh Chowk to Dakshin Jatuwa Chowk, 300 meters around the Chief Minister’s residence and District Administration Office in Morang from Danfe Chowk to the eastern area.
