BUTWAL: Newly appointed Speaker of Lumbini Province Tula Ram Gharti and Deputy Speaker Manju Khand have today taken an oath of office and secrecy.
The Province Chief Amik Sherchan administered the oath to Gharti, and Speaker Gharti to Khand amid a function here today.
Talking to media-persons after the swearing in, Speaker Gharti pledged to strengthen the foundation set up by the previous Province Assembly (PA).
He would take up the responsibility of the existing PA having 87 members, he added.
