KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has fielded lawmaker Ishwari Neupane as its candidate for Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Lawmaker Neupane registered her nomination at the Federal Parliament Secretariat on Wednesday.
NC General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma and CPN-Unified Socialist leader Prakash Jwala were the proponent and the supporter of Neupane’s candidacy as Speaker.
Earlier, the ruling coalition has filed CPN-UML lawmaker Devraj Ghimire’s name for Speaker.
