Federal Parliament to elect Speaker on Thursday

KATHMANDU: The election of the Speaker of the Federal Parliament has been scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday).

For this, the Federal Parliament Secretariat, according to the proposed schedule, issued a notice of proposal for the nomination registration of the Speaker on Wednesday.

The list of candidates as well as the final list will be published today as well.

On Wednesday, the Speaker aspirant will register the nomination along with the proposer and the supporter.

The election will then be held on January 19 at the Federal Parliament.

The House of Representatives (HoR) will then set the date for the election of the Deputy Speaker of the HoR.
