Influence of western winds continues to prevail over Nepal

KATHMANDU: Even though the monsoon has departed from the country, the lingering influence of western winds continues to prevail over Nepal.

The Weather Forecasting Division has issued a notification regarding potential changes and rainfall across various regions of the nation.

According to the Division, some areas of Gandaki, Bagmati, and Madhesh provinces are experiencing light to moderate rain and intermittent wind gusts.

In the afternoon, there is a possibility of moderate changes in the weather in the hilly terrain, encompassing Sudurpaschim , Karnali, and Lumbini provinces.

The rest of the country is likely to anticipate a mix of partly cloudy to generally clear conditions.

The Division has also advised that there might be occasional light rainfall accompanied by thunder at select locations in the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, as well as in a few spots in the Terai region.

During the night, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces, while generally clear skies will prevail in other regions.
