Food Management and Trading Company selling goats from today



KATHMANDU: The Food Management and Trading Company Limited has set the price for he-goats and mountain goats that will be sold starting today (Tuesday) for this year’s festivals.

The Company has announced that the price for live he-goats is fixed at Rs 680 per kg, and the price for mountain goats is Rs 1,260 per kg. Consumers will receive a discount of Rs 10 per kilogram.

Sharmila Neupane, the Information Officer of the Company, mentioned that the goats will be available for purchase at the Company’s Bagmati Province Office in Thapathali from 8:00 in the morning.

The Company has sourced the he-goats from Makawanpur, Dang, and Kailali districts, and the mountain goats are from Rasuwa, keeping in mind this year’s Dashain festival.

The Company plans to sell 2,000 he-goats and 1,000 mountain goats during this year’s festive season.
