School is a peace zone, violators will be prosecuted: Mayor Balen Shah



Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has warned that action will be taken against the people who induce the closure of the schools as a school is a peace zone.

Responding to the public school staff council’s appeal for the indefinite school closure from Sunday, Mayor Shah reminded them that the prevalent laws and by-laws do not allow the closure of the school.

He has urged the concerned parties to abide by the laws and respect the children’s right to education and warned that anyone disregarding the laws will be prosecuted.
