Nepal sees 34 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours, active cases 89

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 34 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 12 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 22 through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,167 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of the samples tested, 431 were tested through RT-PCR method and 736 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 89 active cases in the country as 23 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country has been 12,031 to date.
