Woman killed in Makwanpur accident



HETAUDA: A woman died on the spot when a truck hit a scooter she was riding at Manahari in Makwanpur along the East-West Highway on Friday morning.

A truck (Na 5 Kha 3557) coming from Chitwan hit the scooter (Ga 15 Pa 3969) coming from the opposite direction.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Karki said that 38-year-old Amrita Pariyar of Kaski Nirmalpokhari-2, who was driving a scooter, died on the spot.

Police have taken the driver and the truck under control.
