NRB to exchange new banknotes for Dashain from today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has started distributing new banknotes for Dashain from today.

People can exchange the new notes from the Central Bank’s central office in Baluwatar and its provincial offices.

Major commercial and development banks, as well as finance companies, will also distribute the notes.

One person will be allowed to exchange the new notes worth Rs 18,500, according to the NRB.

NRB has every year facilitated the people to exchange their old banknotes for new ones ahead of Dashain, the biggest festival for Nepalis.
