Major General of Tibet Military Command calls on COAS Sharma



KATHMANDU: Major General Yue Ande of the Tibetan Military Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army paid a courtesy call to Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma.

According to the Military Public Relations and Information Directorate, the meeting held at the military headquarters discussed the issues of mutual interests of both sides.

An eight-member border security team has arrived in Kathmandu on a five-day visit to Nepal under the leadership of Major General Yue. The team was received at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Major General Sagar Bahadur Thapa.

The team will visit military units including Military Command and Staff College, Military Museum, as well as the historical and tourist places in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

The Nepali Army believes that the visit will help to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and also help in the promotion of Nepal’s tourism.
