KATHMANDU: The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Kathmandu-Tarai/Madhesh Expressway has undergone amendments.
Prakash Jwala, the Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, said that revisions have been made to the expressway’s DPR with the aim of reducing both cost and time.
During the Council of Ministers’ meeting on Tuesday, it was decided to amend the DPR for the Kathmandu-Tarai-Madhesh Expressway.
Minister Jwala further added that the amendments to the expressway’s DPR are projected to lead to a reduction in costs and construction duration by approximately Rs 2.02 billion.
Regarded as a crucial lifeline, the Kathmandu-Madhesh Expressway is currently under construction under the supervision of the Nepali Army.
