KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday upheld the Dipayal High Court’s decision to sentence Resham Chaudhary to life imprisonment.

Chaudhary has been branded as the mastermind in the 2015 Tikapur carnage.

A division bench of Supreme Court (SC) justices Nahkul Subedi and Anand Mohan Bhattarai gave the verdict today.

It may be recalled that some Tharu activists, who were agitating, killed eight people including Senior Superintendent of Police Laxman Neupane, five Nepal Police personnel, two Armed Police Force personnel and one infant
