Three dead, 23 injured in Nuwakot road accident



BIDUR: Three persons died and 23 others sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred on Thursday at Bidur Municipality-12 in Nuwakot district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Ramesh Pandit said that the bus (Ba 2 Kha 845) heading to Dangsingh of Tarakeshwor Rural Municipality from Battar of Bidur in the district fell some 150 metres off the road.

SP Pandit said two persons died on the spot and another succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Trishuli Hospital.

The deceased are Ram Prasad Aryal of Tarakeshwor Rural Municipality-6 and his wife Sita Devi Aryal, 60, and 58-year-old Baburam Darji of Bidur-3.

Of the injured ones, five individuals have been referred to Kathmandu for further treatment.

Eyewitness said that the bus plunged off the road after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
