CIAA files corruption case against customs officer KC



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against the then customs officer Dan Bahadur KC of Rasuwa Customs Office.

The CIAA filed a corruption case at the Special Court after finding undisclosed income of over Rs. 2 crores.

CIAA Spokesperson Shyam Prasad Bhandari said that since he entered the government service on July 16, 1986, and till July 14, 2021, the legitimate income of KC was just over Rs 3 crore 51 lakh while his expenditure was found to be over Rs 5 crore 61 lakhs.

The CIAA has claimed that KC amassed the wealth through corruption taking advantage of his position.
