Mortal remains will be handed over to families after post-mortem: Yeti Airlines



KATHMANDU: The Yeti Airlines has informed that the mortal bodies would be handed over to the families after completing post-mortem procedure.

Issuing a press release in Kathmandu on Monday, the Airlines stated that the mortal remains of the passengers who died in the crash of 9 N-NC 72500 aircraft in the Seti gorge of Pokhara on Sunday would be handed to the families and relatives after post-mortem.

As two members of the expert team formed for body identification and examination have already arrived in Pokhara and process to that end has been initiated, the bodies would be handed to the concerned families in Pokhara to those with homes in Kaski and nearby areas, the Airlines informed.

It is also shared that the Neal Army’s chopper has already reached Pokhara to bring the mortal remains of foreign nationals, crew members and unidentified passengers to Kathmandu.

The Airlines also informed that the families and relatives of the deceased can contact Pemba Sherpa (9801007531) of the Airlines in Kathmandu and Station Manager Ram Lamichhane (9802828800) in Pokhara for further information.

Likewise, information can be obtained from Harka Rawal (9802811222) and Sushma Shrestha (9802812111) at the hospital, the Airlines informed.
