Women’s T20I Series: Nepal gets a target of 116 runs against Tanzania



KATHMANDU: In the ongoing women’s T20I series featuring four countries, Nepal has got a target of 116 runs for victory after Tanzania posted a total of 115 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

The match, held in Hong Kong, witnessed an impressive bowling performance by Sangita Rai, who took 2 crucial wickets for Nepal.

Puja Mahato, Rubeena Chhetri, and Captain Indu Barma also contributed by taking one wicket each.

Tanzania’s innings saw Huda Amori as the top scorer with 25 runs before being run out after hitting 2 fours in 26 balls.

Alisa Mahato contributed 21 runs before being caught out, while opener Saum Emtai returned to the pavilion after scoring 16 runs.

Captain Fatuma Kibasu scored 11 runs before being bowled by Rubina, and Monica Pascal was caught out after scoring 10 runs.

Unfortunately, no other batter could reach double figures.
