PHC approves Judge Sharma’s name as Supreme Court Justice



KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing committee (PHC) unanimously approved the name of Binod Sharma as a judge of the Supreme Court on Friday.

PHC had executed the hearing relating to Judge Sharma today.
According to PHC Chair Pashupati Shumsher Rana Sharma’s name was unanimously approved after listening to his answers to the concerns expressed by the PHC members.

With the approval, the proposed judge of the Supreme Court, Binod Sharma, has said that he will do his best to ensure justice for all.

He expressed this commitment while presenting his future plans at the meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the Federal Parliament held at Singha Durbar on Friday. The proposed Justice Sharma said that he would do his best to prevent delay and expense in justice.

In the strategic plan formulated by the court, he mentioned that the Nepali court is adopting the principle of balance and control between the executive, judiciary, and legislature, and he said that it should be carried out more effectively.

Proposed Judge Sharma asserted that there is no need to deprive everyone of justice because every person has been provided with effective legal remedies by the competent court in case of violation of the rights granted by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, constitutional and law.
