NEPSE down by 31 points, 12 sub-group indicators turn negative



KATHMANDU: On the third trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by double digits on Tuesday. The NEPSE index fell by 31.80 points to 2045.44 points.

When the sensitive index decreased by 6.29 points to 391.84 points. On Monday, the NEPSE index decreased by 3.61 points to 2077.24 points.

The shares worth Rs. 2.9 billion were traded.

Before that the index increased by 14 points and the shares worth Rs. 3.184 million were traded on Sunday.

The 563 thousand 179 shares of 278 companies worth 2.15 billion rupees were traded today.

No company’s share price was traded at a positive circuit level today. The share price of Himalayan Distillery fell by 7.69 percent. Himalayan Distillery stood at the top position on the day based on turnover.

Out of the 13 sub-groups in the business, the indicators of 12 sub-groups went negative on Tuesday.

Apart from mutual funds, indices of other sub-groups fell today. The share price of the mutual fund increased by 28.90 percent. On this day, the price of 201 companies decreased, while only 20 increased. The price of 4 remained stable.
