Mugu jeep accident: Death toll reaches five



MUGU: The death toll in Mugu jeep accident has reached five.

The death toll reached five after injured Lok Jung Nepali, ward member of Soru rural municipality-5 died on the way to District Hospital, said police, said officiating Chief of the District Health Service Office, Kamal Dhungana.

The accident took place on Monday evening when the jeep (Ga 1 Ja 7762) heading towards Gamgadhi from Soru rural municipality fell some 200 meters off the road.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Mugu, Mahesh Basnet, said injured—jeep driver Dinesh Lawad of Soru-7, Govinda Shahi of Soru-5, Sere Rokaya of Soru-6 and Udip Bohora of Simikot-2 in Humla district are receiving treatment at the District Hospital, Mugu.

Problems have surfaced to send the injured ones to Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Jumla, for further treatment due to incessant rainfall.
